Intermediate Longboarding Weekends
Our Intermediate Longboarding trips are tailored for folks who have experience surfing and are looking to take their longboarding to the next level. These trips includes a dry land clinic, video analysis, and one in-water coaching with Lydia Ricard. Coaching will be focused on setting up nose riding and will cover take offs, reading the wave, cross stepping, and nose riding techniques.
These trips have a lower capacity than most of our other trips to maximize one-on-one time with Lydia.
What’s included:
- 3 nights camping (shared sites) at Surf Grove. 
- 1 dryland clinic with Lydia Ricard. 
- 1 video analysis coaching session with Lydia Ricard. 
- 1 in-water coaching session with Lydia Ricard. 
- 3 delicious and nutritious dinners.

What you need to bring:
- Camping Gear 
- Breakfasts/Lunches/Post-surf snacks 
- Transport to/from/around Tofino. 
- Longboard, leash, wetsuit, wax, and any other required surf gear. 
- A positive attitude 
- Strong swimming skills 
Trip layout:
Day 1: Meet at Surf Grove at 5pm. Dinner to be served at 6pm. Clinic to start at ~630pm.
Day 2: Coaching/filming with Lydia in the morning, free time, afternoon surf (optional), group dinner, video analysis.
Day 3: Coaching with Lydia/in-water photography session* in the morning, free time, second surf (optional), group dinner.
Day 4: Morning surf, check-out of campsite at 11am.

            Who is this experience for?
In order to register for this trip you must be able to turtle roll, paddle out back, be able to pop up and ride down the face of the wave consistently, and be comfortable surfing shoulder-high waves. Unless travelling from far, participants should have their own equipment.
All participants must be 19+ and must be strong swimmers and comfortable swimming in variable ocean conditions. This includes, big waves, strong currents, and rips. Participants must have swimming endurance and be able to hold their breath for a reasonable period in order to participate.
