Melissa moved to the island in 2015 to pursue her life long dream of becoming a surfer. She is passionate about creating space for women in male-dominated industries and spent most of her adult life working as a Project Manager in the silviculture industry. In addition to surfing, Melissa loves potatoes, good spreadsheets, fizzy water, and soup.
Madison Myatt, CO-FOUNDER
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & TRIP LEAD
After living in Tofino, Korea, and Germany, Madi settled down in Victoria to study holistic nutrition and herbal medicine with a focus on women’s health. Madi loves naps, skinny dipping, ice cream, Mary’s crackers, and her German manfriend/life partner named Mo.
Amanda Parry, Director of marketing

Amanda was born and raised in Vancouver. She now lives in Victoria and has two rad dogs, a grown-up job, and a sense of humour that will make your abs hurt. She loves kayaking, surfing, and knitting. We love Amanda are are so grateful for all her help and support
Mary McNeill-Knowles
BOARD TREASURER & TRIP LEAD
Mary is the COOLEST. She’s an interior designer, an awesome surfer, an avid adventurer, and an essential member of the BnBs team! When she’s not hard at work you’ll find Mary either camping in a south island parking lot or travelling abroad to find warmer waters. And in addition to her sweet designs and rad surf skills, Mary also takes incredible photographs.
Chelsea Bennett
BOARD SECRETARY & TRIP LEAD
Chelsea rules. She has been on many BnBs trips, and makes a point of sharing her vast knowledge of the ocean and ocean conservation with our participants! When she’s not surfing or hanging with her dog Lili, you can probably find Chelsea wading in the tideline looking at creatures.
Robyn Broekhuizen
TRIP LEAD
Robyn's life goal is to be a better surfer than her boyfriend, in a friendly and supportive spirit (haha). Born and raised on Vancouver Island there's a lot of nostalgia flowing through her psyche every surf trip. Robyn swears to protect the planet and social equality as best as she can while inspiring others to do the same. She teaches yoga, dabbles in pottery, and loves photography and filmmaking. She's currently helping non-profits like BnBs reach their business development goals through grant writing consulting.
Lauren Farmer
TRIP LEAD
Originally from Montreal and now based in Vancouver, Lauren braves the BC Ferries summer chaos to surf and share the stoke with our participants. Lauren loves surfing, warm bread, and her Dyson vaccuum. When asked why she wants to lead BnBs trips, Lauren said “I love working with BnBs because I owe any of my surf abilities to my girlfriends and to BnB trips I took a while back, and it allows me to foster and give back to that community. It’s also just super fun!”

Bryanna Bradley
Bryanna Bradley is a photographer with an interest in capturing the essence of female surfing. Bryanna has an affinity for unique natural light, and strives to take photos that celebrate both the beauty of her home Tofino, and the inspiring culture of cold water surfing. You can find Bryanna in the water most days, surfing or with a camera in her hand.
KAit ROGERS
Kait is a Tofino-based professional photographer & cold-water surfer. She grew up on southern Vancouver Island, making a slow migration towards Tofino starting in 2017. After a few winters spent mostly skipping classes to drive out to Jordan River, she realized that maybe university wasn't for her, & maybe she could make a living year-round out of her summer job, & maybe she'd save some gas money living a little closer to the surf. So now, she spends most of her time chasing waves on a longboard, but sometimes, she has juuust enough spare time to capture some other people chasing waves on longboards.
CLOVER JUNE
Clover was born and raised on the Gulf Islands, always surrounded by calm beautiful water. She moved to Tofino and fell in love with the wildness of the rugged coast. Clover is an avid long boarder and married to her single fin. She works as a freelance photographer between Squamish and Tofino. When she’s not in the water, you can find her and her dog Timo sipping coffee beachside and mind surfing the day away.
Steffi Jade
Steffi is a photographer who is constantly chasing the waves and light. She grew up immersed in the mountains of the Kootenays and fell in love with the art of photography through the mentorship of her grandfather. Based in Tofino, she is also a passionate surfer and has found purpose in combining her two lifelong pursuits. Her photography portrays the obvious as abstract, bringing the alluring beauty of surfing to life.
Marcus Paladino
Marcus Paladino is a professional photographer specializing in cold water surfing on the west coast of Canada. He grew up on Vancouver Island, where he went on to receive a diploma for photography in 2010. Shortly after, he moved to Tofino for a summer and never looked back. Marcus' work has been featured in various publications from around the world, including SURFER, Surfing Magazine, The Surfer’s Journal, Tracks, and Carve. He has also worked with clients internationally, including Hurley, Monster Energy, Red Bull, Hydro Flask, Clif Bar, Reef, O'Neill, and Vans. His dedication to showcase high performance surfing that continues to be pushed north of the 49th parallel, along with his artistic approach, has made Marcus one of the most desired water photographers to work with in Canada.

Originally from Ontario, Jordan is a local artist and designer located in Victoria. Jordan is the epitome of cool. In addition to being extremely talented at design, he also draws and paints incredible west coast-inspired art and takes beautiful photographs. He is an avid skier, an excellent surfer, and an all-around great guy who donated a ton of time to create our logo. Check out his amazing art here!

Keith Brouillette is a video producer who loves a good narrative. He chooses to work with entrepreneurs who are passionate and dedicated to their craft, using video to highlight the impact they have in their local communities. When he’s not filming or editing, you will probably find him in the line up or the mountains. Check out his incredible promo video here
