Classic trips:

Whether it is your first time in the white wash or you are a seasoned pro in the tube, our classic surf trip are open to any surfer of any skill level. These trips typically run in the summer and while the itinerary may vary slightly between trips, registration includes shared camping in Tofino, surf lessons/coaching from Surf Sister, three delicious and nutritious dinners, a BnBs tee-shirt, and surf photographs. Participants must be 19+ and comfortable swimming in rough ocean conditions.

An unforgettable long weekend! I’m a super beginner surfer and was a little worried about not being able to keep up, but everyone was ridiculously welcoming and supportive. I improved my surfing by leaps and bounds, met some truly incredible people, and will definitely be back to do it again!

Surf camps:

Our Surf Camps provide an amazing opportunity for maximum progression in a short amount of time. These trips run in the summer during the week (when Tofino is the tiniest bit quieter). Registration for Surf Camp includes 5 nights shared camping in Tofino, 4 days of surf coaching from Surf Sister, 5 delicious and nutritious dinners, a BnBs tee-shirt, and an in-water photography session. Surf Camps are open to surfers of any skill level. Participants must be 19+ and comfortable swimming in rough ocean conditions.

Intermediate longboarding trips

Our Intermediate Longboarding trips are tailored for gals who have experience surfing and are looking to take their longboarding to the next level. These trips include a dry land clinic and in-water coaching with local legend Lydia Ricard. Coaching will be focused on setting up nose riding and will cover take offs, reading the wave, cross stepping, and nose riding techniques. In order to register for these trips you must be able to turtle roll, paddle out back, be able to pop up and ride down the face of the wave consistently, and be comfortable surfing shoulder-high waves. Unless travelling from far, participants should have their own equipment (longboard + wetsuit).

This was my 6th trip with Bitches and Barrels, and each time I come away having grown as a surfer and with so many new connections and friends that help me get out into the water more often.

Reunion Trip:

Our reunion trip is run annually and targeted towards surfers who have spent a bit of time in the water and are comfortable and confident surfing independently without supervision. Our most affordable option, these trips are more like a galpal weekend and are designed to keep participants coming back and continuing to push their surfing. While the itinerary may vary slightly between trips, registration typically includes shared camping in Tofino, three delicious and nutritious dinners, a BnBs tee-shirt, and surf photography. In addition we share the stoke by pushing each other to progress our surf skills with early morning surf checks, long sessions, in-water camaraderie, and endless laughs. Participants must be 19+ and must have attended at least one Classic trip in order to register for a Reunion trip.

“The BnB leaders work hard to ensure everyone is comfortable, engaged, and inspired. They are very passionate about surfing and connecting with women, so thank you for creating such a wonderful community! As someone who can be pretty afraid of the ocean sometimes, I felt much more confident out in the water with such a wonderful group of supportive women. Everyone was encouraging and having fun - the energy was always perfect! The trip was a great way to start expanding my surfing community. I will definitely be attending another BnB’s weekend in the future.”
